Locations
Tax is national, so where you practise does not change how a locum invoice or a partnership share is taxed. Two things do change. Scotland sets its own income tax rates and bands. And the NHS pension is administered separately by nation: NHS Business Services Authority for England and Wales, the Scottish Public Pensions Agency for Scotland, and HSC Pensions in Northern Ireland, so the forms and the addresses differ even where the rules broadly match.
What else differs by place is the shape of the work: a city with three teaching hospitals produces different private practice questions from a county with one district general and a large dispersed group of GP practices.
